This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from Whimsy Clips (the “Site”).
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect the following:

We collect and store your email address when you opt-in to our newsletter or opt-in to receive email notifications when products are updated. With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.
Customer Accounts:
When you register with our site by creating an account we collect and store your name, email address, and billing address. You may log into your account to edit your information. Your credit card number is not stored in your account. Each time you make a purchase you must enter your credit card number, we do not store this information. When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for delivery, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

Email Marketing
Whimsy Clips uses Mailchimp to send our newsletters. Within Mailchimp we collect and store data such as your name and email address. We may also utilize technology that allows us to track the clicks and open rate of our newsletters.

All email subscribers must manually subscribe to our newsletter. We also utilize the double-opt in feature, which requires each subscriber to confirm their subscription to our newsletter before being added.
OPT OUT
You may opt out of Whimsy Clips newsletter by following the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. You may also contact us at privacy@whimsyclips.com to notify us that you no longer wish to receive our newsletter.
BEHAVIOURAL ADVERTISING
As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. DATA RETENTION
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records, to provide a service and fulfill our obligations to you, to fulfill our legal obligations. If you would like to delete your account or no longer wish for us to use your information you may email us to place a request. PAYMENT
Whimsy Clips utilizes a third-party payment processor to process payments. Personal information used to process a payment is transferred to the third-party payment processor and is governed by their privacy policy.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
SECURITY
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
