2. Data We Collect

INE values your trust and adheres to ethical standards in gathering, using, and safeguarding any information you provide. We collect data from you via three primary sources; data voluntarily give directly from you, data collected through automated means and services, and data from third-party providers.

We collect and process the following personal information from you:

a. Data You Provide to Us

We collect and store information that you provide to us through a variety of means:

Any interaction we share results in the collection of data. While you are never required to provide personal information within any confines of the INE experience, choosing to withhold data does limit the opportunities available to you. In order to be an active participant within INE, certain personal information must be provided.

b. Data Collected Through Automated Means

We collect and store unidentifiable personal information automatically whenever you interact with us. That is, information pertaining to you that would not be useful in identifying you personally. For example, we may collect your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser information, and reference site domain name when you visit our website. As you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products you view, what websites or search terms referred you to us, and how you interact with the site in general. Then, we would analyze this data for preferences, trends, and site usage statistics. This automatically-collected data is referred to as “Device Information”.

We also collect information by using cookies, web beacons, and other related technologies. “Cookies” are small text files that a website sends to a user’s hard drive through the browser, for data storage. Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you are allowed to disable them. By doing so, you may not be able to take full advantage of everything INE has to offer. We recommend that you leave cookies “turned on”, helping us provide you with an optimal experience.

Other technologies, such as web beacons, log files, tags, and pixels also come into play. Log files track actions that occur on our site and collects data that includes your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps. Web beacons, tags, and pixels are electronic files used to record information about how you browse our site.

These tools help us to analyze and understand how our website is used, allowing us to enhance your visits and experience. The use of cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, and pixels (among others) allows us to:

We use third-party companies to provide Internet data hosting, which helps us measure and determine how visitors use our website, thereby showing us the effectiveness of our website and promotions. As a result, we can consistently improve and optimize our website, as well as the products and Services we offer.

Third-party companies that we utilize include Google AdSense Advertising, Recurly, and Hubspot.

Google’s advertising requirements and principles are put in place to provide a positive experience for users. As a third-party vendor, Google uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on previous visits to our Site, as well as other sites on the Internet. Users may opt-out of the DART cookie by visiting the Google Ad and Content Network privacy policy.

Both Recurly, Inc and Hubspot, Inc are used to enhance the INE Site experience, via billing, marketing, and emailing services.

We also use third-party companies to showcase advertisements (such as banners or links) on our behalf across the Internet. These companies use tracking technologies (including cookies and pixel tags) to collect non-identifiable information about your visits to our website. They also take note of your interactions with our products and Services in order to provide tailored ads based on your interests. Therefore, they’re “remarketing” on our behalf and on behalf of other advertises across the Internet.

In that same regard, we utilize third-party audience data (such as age, gender, and interests) to better understand our audience and market to them effectively. We do not use or associate personally identifiable information with remarketing lists, cookies, data feeds, or other anonymous identifiers.

Additionally, some of our email communications to you may include a “click-through URL” linked to a particular page on our Site. By clicking on one of these URLs, you will automatically enter our website and we may collect information related to the “click-through”. You may avoid having this information collected by not clicking on the URL links in our email correspondence.

We also use a variety of analytics tools in our Bootcamps for operational and marketing purposes, such as measuring and analyzing traffic patterns. These tools may collect data from sensors including video cameras, smartphone detectors, Wi-Fi networks, or other devices. Again, this allows us to improve your Bootcamp experience.

c. Data Collected from Other Sources

We may collect information about you from third-party sources. This would be information that is publicly available. For example, any information you submit in a public forum (such as a blog, chat room, or social networking site) can be read, collected, and used by us and others. This information is most often used to personalize your experience on our Site. Remember, you are responsible for the information you choose to submit in these areas.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your Personally Identifiable Information to outside parties, unless we provide users with advance notice. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users. These parties agree to and work under a confidentiality agreement. We may also release information when it is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our Site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety.

Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. However, we do not include or offer third-party products or services on our website.
