RETURNS POLICY

Our UK sales returns policy is as follows:

To qualify for a standard refund you have 14 days from receipt of your order to notify us that you wish to cancel the order and return the goods. You then have 14 days to return the goods to us at your own expense. If you fail to notify us of your desire to cancel the order and return the goods within 14 days of receipt you are not entitled to a refund. If you do not return the goods to us within 14 days after notification you are not entitled to a refund.

Your returned item(s) should be unused and in the same condition as received. They should also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

If goods are faulty or damaged on receipt we will ask for photographic evidence of the fault or damage where feasible. If it appears you have altered or damaged the goods yourself this may affect your right to a refund.

Refunds (if applicable) 

Once your return is received by us, we will inspect it to ensure that it is elibible for return. Once we are satisfied that the item is unused, all the component pieces are present and all of the original packaging is undamaged, we will submit your order for a refund. Your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a 14 days of us receiving your return.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Processing times for refunds can be anywhere between instantaneous and 7-14 working days dependant on your bank or credit card provider. Once we have submitted your refund, we shall have no further liability or responsibility for the processing. We have no power over how long your Bank or Card provider choose to hold the funds for, please do not contact us, contact them instead.

 We do not refund shipping costs on overseas orders. We may refund the item if it is returned to us.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at customerservices@chastheboat.co.uk and send your item to: Chas Newens Marine Co Ltd, The Boathouse, Embankment, Putney, London, SW151LB.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

Shipping
To return your product, you should contact us at customerservices@chasnewensmarine.co.uk to establish which premises you need to return your product to.

You are responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over £50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
